The Bi disc or circular jade with a hole in the middle, can be traced to the Neolithic period. According to Chinese scholars, this symbolised the sky or the sun’s orbit, and was used in ritualistics ceremonies. This distinctive jade Bi disc from the Southern Song dynasty is one of the precious collections of the Museum. Its grain patterns have been reproduced onto the pewter cufflinks. 中間穿孔的圓形玉璧可遠溯至新石器時代，有學者認為是象徵天空 或太陽運行的軌道，具有禮器的功能。此南宋蒲紋璧為國立故宮 博物院珍貴典藏之一，其由三組線條交織出的蒲席紋樣，甚具代 表性，被複製到錫鑞袖扣之上。

This interesting ruyi shaped ceramic pillow has a curvilinear outline, a slight depression in the middle and gourd shaped holes at the sides. Made during the Yuan dynasty, the bottom of the pillow is engraved with a poem by Emperor Qianlong. The unique shape derived from the lingzhi fungus, also known as the plant of immortality, makes for an interesting cufflink design.

元鈞窯天藍紫斑如意枕，造型仿似如意。瓷枕枕面中心略低， 兩側有葫蘆瓜形狀的洞孔，底部刻有 乾隆 皇帝詩作。

錫鑞袖扣參照此故宮珍藏設計，造型妙趣。如意形狀，猶如有 長生仙草美譽的靈芝，更添吉祥寓意。
