Decorated with intertwining stalks and lush flora, this red lacquer vase with incised floral motif displays the high level of craftsmanship during the reign of the Ming dynasty, with its precise knife-work and smooth finishing. The elaborately carved camellia and peony flower, which is known as the ‘Flower of riches and honour’, are featured on the pewter tumbler.

此剔紅漆花卉瓶製於明永樂年間，造型稀有，工藝精湛。紋飾佈局尤見氣勢，無 論是枝葉交錯或繁花盛開的紋飾刀法，或漆器質感的表現，均為明代剔紅漆器的 典範。剔紅漆花卉瓶賦予錫鑞水杯裝飾靈感，杯身飾有美艷茶花和有富貴花之稱 的牡丹。
